Tell me about your summer...

I have been so busy especially with graduate classes. Yes, kids...teachers are students too! I have learned so much and can't wait to incorporatate all the new and fun ideas into my lessons.
I have been teaching too for University of Phoenix online. I am teaching Child Development and enjoying this new experience. It has been interesting teaching to students that you only get to know from what you read online. My course is 9 weeks, so I will have to let you know in a few weeks how it finished out.
Well on the the fun stuff...
We went to Disney for a week in the beginning of July. Of course it was great fun. We even had dinner with the princesses! Another highlight was seeing the Spectromagic parade at 11pm at night in the Magic Kingdom. The lights were fabulous and just kept going and going!
This past weekend we went kayaking on the Brandywine River. We paddled for 2 1/2 hours...It was a beautiful trip from Harvey's Bridge to Northbrook Canoe Company. Whew... I was pretty tired the rest of the day. Mr. McDonald and I had blisters on our hands but we never tipped over!
Let me know what you have been doing this summer... if you have pictures... email them to me and I will post a few to the blog!

Hi Mrs Haskell,
Jen and I are doing good. She has been having a good summer between visiting her grandmom in Philadelphia and hanging out here with her friends. She has been enjoying her summer so far regretfully we weren't able to go away this summer because my husband had surgery in June. We had good news however that the tumor in his lung was not cancer. Yea!! So we had reason to celebrate. I will have Jen log on and send you a blog too. Hope you had a good summer. See you in the fall.

So glad that all is well with Jen's uncle. Philadelphia is a great place to hang out and of course grandparents are the best! My children spend plenty of time with their grandparents over the summer and that is so so wonderful. It is time that can't be replaced and should be cherished!
